Creative Patio Screen Provides Serenity

One of the joys of custom homebuilding and renovating is the wonderful people we get to meet and work with along the way.  Oftentimes, clients invite us back to work with them on new projects which they’ve been dreaming about.  People tend to keep your number handy once they realize they’ve found an honest, dependable builder that is easy to work with!

This featured backyard patio screen was just such an “ongoing partnership” situation.  We have worked with this family several times over the years.  The most recent project was to create an intimate, but upscale suite on the lower level of the house to provide a better suited lifestyle for their evolving family.  Yet after living in that space for a year, it was decided that, while they love their family pets, sometimes they needed a space where their beloved buddies weren’t always underfoot!  Pheasant Hill Homes was called in to take a look at the space, hear their desires, and come up with an attractive, creative solution that wasn’t going to be needlessly expensive, or intrusive to build.

After studying the situation, we were able to seamlessly integrate a cedar screen into their existing retaining walls simply and quickly.  We came up with a delicate design for the screen that allowed some asian elements to show through, but left enough neutral space to allow the cool calm of the surrounding yard to still show through.  It’s a great example of how Pheasant Hill works with clients to provide creative solutions to make their spaces better suit their needs.  Take a look at the images and let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
