Heritage Enlightened

This is a heritage home over 100 years old in the Harbour City that has received tender treatment as it underwent being lifted – to add a bottom floor; ever so slightly turned – so that it would sit properly aligned on the property; upgraded – to incorporate energy savings with the quality of new materials that were added; and modernized – to give this family a revitalized heritage home.  Key features of this home were preserved to retain the character of the home such as stained glass, original bricks which were used to rebuild the chimney as well as being incorporated into the built in master head board, and fine details like crown moulding.  Although this is a heritage home, it boasts a contemporary look with luxury features such as a steam shower you can lay down in, two levels of sun decks, a room to boulder in, and a kitchen that hosts two islands which allow the young family space to host large get-togethers as well as allow room for two head cooks.  Our clients envisioned a home that perfectly fits their family and incorporated their lifestyle values throughout, and this is it.
